🔍 Syllogism Basics:

Syllogisms are logical statements like:

  • All A are B

  • Some B are C

  • No A is C

Trick: Use diagrams (circles) to visualize.

Statements:

  1. All pens are books.
    Some books are tables.
    → Conclusions:
    a) Some pens are tables
    b) All books are pens

✅ Venn Diagram:

Useful when multiple categories are involved. For example:

  • Students who like Maths, Science, both, or neither.

    → Conclusion:

    b) Some fruits are apples

  2. Draw Venn diagram:

✅ Key Formulas:

  • % = (Part/Whole) × 100

  • To increase/decrease a number by x%:

    • Increase: Number × (1 + x/100)

    • Decrease: Number × (1 - x/100)

✅ Active-Passive Rule:

  • Active: Subject does the action

  • Passive: Object receives the action

✅ Spot the Error:

  1. The boys was playing outside.
